This summer, this blog is going to publish the English version of my comic for "Killer Toons 2.0", "A world without a face". But first of all, I will dedicate three posts as introduction to this project.

Este verano, este blog va a publicar la versión en inglés de mi comic para "Killer Toons 2.0", "Un mundo sin rostro". Pero en primer lugar, voy a dedicar tres entradas como introducción a este proyecto.

In 2009 wan launched the first issue of the comic anthology "Killer Toons 2.0". For that occasion, I made a eight pages comic called "A world without a face". This is a dystopia that tells the creation of a dictatorial system with a messianic touch in a fictitious Midwestern town of the Federated States of America. The starting point of this situation is the so-called "event": the appearance of a giant toxic mushroom in the center of the city, just where a research lab is located.

En 2009 fue lanzado el primer número de la revista de cómics "Killer Toons 2.0". Para esa ocasión, hice un cómic de ocho páginas titulado "Un mundo sin rostro". UMSR es una distopía que narra la creación de un sistema dictatorial con un toque mesiánico en una ciudad ficticia del medio oeste de los Estados Federados de América. El punto de partida de esta situación es el llamado "evento": la aparición de un hongo tóxico gigante en el centro de la ciudad, justo donde estaba situado un laboratorio de investigación.

I was not sure about the most suitable graphic style for the story. I chose a defined lines and flat colors one. Though I think this is not the best choice for a story purporting to be dramatic, I believe that it added a humorous counterpoint that is always rewarding.

No estaba seguro de cuál era el estilo gráfico más adecuado para la historia. Elegí uno de líneas definidas y colores planos. Aunque creo que esta no es la mejor opción para una historia que pretende ser dramática, pienso que añade un contrapunto humorístico que siempre es gratificante.
